Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Hivewire ("Hivewire," "we," "us") governing your use of the Hivewire precision apiary monitoring platform — our website, the web app, the Hivewire mobile applications for iOS and Android, sensors, hubs, gateways, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, ordering hardware or a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service & Beta Status

Hivewire provides hardware sensors and cloud software that monitor hive conditions, log inspections, surface trends, and send alerts you configure. Parts of the Service are offered on an early-access / beta basis: features may change, be added, or be removed, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors as we develop it.

Your Account

• Provide accurate information and keep it current.
• Keep your password confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• Notify us promptly at support@hivewire.us of any unauthorized use.

Hardware & Radio Use

Hivewire hardware is intended solely for use with the Service. You agree to install and operate it as documented and in compliance with applicable law, including radio-frequency regulations for the LoRa, Bluetooth, WiFi, and cellular radios in our devices, which are built for use in the United States. Hardware bought from the Hivewire store comes with the one-year warranty described in the store's Refund Policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Access accounts, hives, or data that are not yours, or attempt to defeat the platform's tenant isolation.
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative services from the Service except as permitted by law.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe others' rights.

Your Data & Content

You own the apiary, hive, inspection, and sensor data you create ("Your Data"). You grant Hivewire a license to host, process, and display Your Data as needed to operate and improve the Service, including training the models that power its monitoring and advisory features, and to provide the AI colony advisor. We handle Your Data as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or request deletion of Your Data at any time.

Pricing & Payment

Hardware, service plans, and cellular connectivity are sold through the Hivewire store at shop.hivewire.us. Prices, taxes, shipping, and the billing period are shown at checkout before you pay, and store purchases are also governed by the store's Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy.

• Pre-orders are paid when you place them and ship in waves. You can cancel a pre-order any time before it ships for a full refund.
• Subscriptions (Hivewire Cloud plans, Hivewire Journal, and auto-renewing cellular connectivity) renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing support@hivewire.us; your plan runs through the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds, returns, and warranty, including 30-day hardware returns and the one-year hardware warranty, follow the store's Refund Policy.
• Price changes: if a plan's price changes, we will tell you before the new price applies to your renewal.

Beekeeping Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Hivewire is a monitoring and decision-support tool, not a substitute for hands-on beekeeping judgment or regular hive inspections. Sensor readings, alerts, and AI guidance may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable — for example, due to radio range, weather, power, connectivity, or hardware faults — and should not be your only safeguard for colony health.

Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as data ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Hivewire is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions? Email support@hivewire.us.
